Graduate Admission Information

Admission to the Water Resources Engineering and Science Program is granted to applicants according to the policies of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. These admission policies can be reviewed in Section 1 of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Handbook.

Briefly, the master’s applicant should have a scholastic grade point average of at least 3.0 (based on a 4-point scale) for the last 60 semester hours or 110 quarter hours of undergraduate work. Under unusual circumstances, applicants with a grade point average of 2.75 may be considered for admission under limited status. Applicants should refer to the above-mentioned handbook for more detailed admission requirements.
